About Us
My name is Mandip Singh and I'm 18 years old. Although I have lived in New Jersey all my life, I am still strongly connected to my indian roots. I follow the teachings of the punjabi culture and it comes very naturally to me. I am a middle child and I am very close to my sister, Simran, and my two cousins, Kunwar and Roop. Now I am a senior in high school and I believe that before I take the step forward into college, I should learn more about my culture and me. Two of my closest friends, Sabrina and Josephine are going to take this journey with me. Not only do I want to learn more about myself but I also want to educate myself about other cultures.
HiHi, I'm Sabrina Piraneque and I'm 18 years old. You might be suprised to find out that even though I am redhead I am actually Hispanic more specifically, Colombian .Also I can speak, write, and understand Spanish.eI was born in Colombia in 1996 then moved to the United States when I was 6 years old in 2002. Since then I have lived in Piscataway, NJ and been reunited with my dad's side of the family. Like other Hispanic families, my extended family is very big but we always stick together. I am very adventerous and open-minded and for that reason I like to know more about different cultures while in the process finding any missing pieces that I don't have from my own culture. Therefore, me and my two best friends Mandip and Jojo decided to work together in our journeys to find out more about ourselves, our cultures, and each other's cultures. We all agreed that it was a journey we wanted to take together before we took our next steps in life.'m
Hey there! My name is Josephine Alegun and I am 17 years old. I am proudly from the West African country of Nigeria. Despite being born and raised in Piscataway, New Jersey, there is no doubt that my Nigerian roots have shaped me into the person I am today. Along with my close friends Mandip and Sabrina, I am embarking on a journey to learn more about, not only the Nigerian culture, but the Indian and Colombian cultures as well. With an adventurous heart and and an open mind, I will use every opportunity to discover, learn, and teach.
