Mandip's Diwali Party

Diwali is an indian holiday that is celebrated in November. My family waited untill my cousins came back from Texas to have a party in December. Diwali is the festival of lights and is basically an indian new year. We all got dressed up in traditional indian dresses. I wore an anarkali dress to the party. We also ate delicious indian food such as samosas. The best part was watching my family dance to punjabi music. I had a great time at the party and learned more about my culture through the experience.
