7 elements

I decided to do some research on the seven elements of culture, social organization, customs and traditions, religion, language, arts and literature, and economic systems. I learned that the most important thing as a Sikh is to try to gain a connection with God and that is exactly what I aim to do. I also learned that Sikhism’s main focus is peace and so I hope to strive for peace in the future. The research that I did on arts and customs just reminded of how amazing it is to be a part of the punjabi culture. The dance, music, and other traditions give color to my culture. Interestingly, most traditions center primarily on the temple. The research allowed me to compare the true meaning of what I am “supposed to do” to what I usually do. I think of myself as someone who is not too religious but I believe I have a strong relationship with God.
